CIPPG Urges Residents To Be Part Of Ongoing Continuous Voter Registration Exercise

News Update

As the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Continuous Voter Registration, CVR kicked off nationwide, the Christians In Progressive Politics For Good Governance group (CIPPG), has urged members, supporters and residents in Osun state and Nation to take advantage of the exercise to register.

The Director-General of the CIPPG, Pastor O.A Fabunmi, who made the call in a statement on Wednesday in Osogbo also called on all eligible voters, from 18-years and above to participate in the exercise.

Recall that the Indeendent National Electoral Commission (INEC),on Monday, August 18, 2025 announced the commencement of the CVR which allows eligible Nigerians to begin their voter registration process digitally before completing it at designated centres.

Fabunmi called on eligible Nigerians to commence the process online as stipulated by INEC and also proceed to complete it at designated centres, where they could obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC).

He said “New voters could pre-register on the INEC portal, while those who had registered in the past could access the platform to review their voter registration status.

“Some of the features on the portal allowed registered voters to update their personal information or transfer their voter registration to another polling unit while registered voters could also request for replacement of damaged or defaced PVC on the INEC portal”

“The PVC is the only legal instrument voters can use to elect leaders, who can sustain the successes so far recorded by the APC government at the Federal, State and Local levels”

“The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu is transforming every sector, so, all residents across Osun state and beyond should equip themselves with the voter cards to enable them vote in the 2026 Osun state gubernatorial election and 2027 general election and re-elect Asiwaju for the good works to continue,” Pastor Fabunmi, noted.
