A young Nigerian TikTok creator popularly known as “Geh Geh” has become an internet sensation after a single live broadcast reportedly earned him gifts valued at over $30,000.
The content creator, who lost his parents at an early age and has no formal education, drew more than 177,000 viewers during his Thursday session.
On his platform, which he calls the “University of Wisdom and Understanding,” Geh Geh delivers unconventional advice to men on relationships and financial independence.
Celebrating the milestone in a follow-up video, he described the experience as life-changing. “More than 177,000 people watch my lectures today. See gift I made… the gifts they give me today are worth about $30,000. I no go take this love for granted, because I no really do anything for am,” he said.
Proudly referring to himself as “the first illiterate to find a university in the history of Nigeria,” Geh Geh said the overwhelming support has given him hope. “I be orphan, but now Nigerians don show me love,” he added.
His rise has sparked widespread debate, with critics questioning his controversial views on money and women, while others hail his journey as proof that social media can empower even those without formal education.
Many of his growing followers now identify themselves as “students” of the Geh Geh University.
Reflecting on his newfound fame, Geh Geh said, “If Nigeria be country wey value great people, by now them suppose dey compare people like me with Aristotle, Wole Soyinka, Einstein… but I thank God say people dey see my head and my own difference.”
