Aiyedatiwa’s govt To Transform Araromi Seaside Into World Class – Commissioner Afolabi

In furtherance of Ondo State Government’s resolve to unlock the immense potential of its coastal tourism, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Afolabi Adesoji, on Thursday paid a working visit to the famous Araromi seaside in Ilaje Local Government Area.

As part of the visit, the Commissioner and his team paid a courtesy call on the Alara of Araromi Seaside, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olawole Adeoloye where he commended the traditional ruler for his unwavering support for government’s developmental strides.

He also assured the monarch that the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is fully committed to transforming Araromi seaside into a world-class tourist destination.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Adesoji noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s government recognizes the strategic importance of the Araromi coastline, and is determined to harness it not only as a tourism hub but also as a driver of economic growth for the people of Ilaje and the entire state.

According to him: “This administration under Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is intentional about Araromi seaside. The Governor has a clear vision of developing this coastline into a tourist destination of global repute, one that will boost our economy, create jobs, and put Ondo State firmly on the world tourism map. Government is also ready to partner with local stakeholders and private investors to ensure this vision becomes reality.”

In his response, the Alara of Araromi Seaside, Oba Olawole Adeoloye expressed appreciation to the state government for its renewed attention to the coastal community. He described the Commissioner’s visit as historic and reassuring, while pledging the full support of his people.

The Commissioner, who was warmly received by community leaders and tourism stakeholders, further described Araromi seaside as one of Ondo State’s most promising assets in coastal and marine tourism, with the potential to become a hub for both domestic and international tourists.

Accompanying the Honourable Commissioner on the visit were the Director of Tourism, Mr. Adeola Aderinola; Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilization, Hon. Oladimeji Olanegan; Dr. Abisoye Obayan, CEO of Cash’N’Out Limited and a renowned tourism promoter; as well as staff of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
