NCAA Government Takes Fresh Action On Ibom Air, Comfort’s Case

News Update

THE Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned Comfort Emmanson and members of Ibom Air’s cabin crew for further questioning over the August 10 incident on a Uyo to Lagos flight.

NCAA officials confirmed that Emmanson was already spoken to earlier on Tuesday in Abuja and will appear again with the cabin crew for more investigation on Wednesday.

According to the Authority, the issue lingered because the pilot did not immediately involve security operatives after landing in Lagos, as it seemed to have been settled before departure from Uyo.

However, the passenger became the last to leave the aircraft after visiting the restroom, which drew further notice to the case.

The NCAA assured that the probe would be thorough, while aviation stakeholders at the meeting in Abuja called for stricter discipline among both travellers and crew to curb the rising cases of unruly behaviour in the industry.
