Two women were kidnapped by armed men in Edogi community, Kwara State, in the early hours of Friday.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama shared a post on X on Saturday.
According to Makama, the attack happened around 2:00 a.m. when the kidnappers broke into the home of 50-year-old Alhaji Mustapha and took away his wives, Shafa’u Mustapha and 35-year-old Fauzat Mustapha.
The Kwara State Police Command, Zone 8 Lokoja, also confirmed the incident and said that security forces including soldiers, police, vigilantes, and local hunters were quickly mobilized to search nearby bushes for the abductors and victims.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to find the kidnappers and secure the safe release of the women.
