Ondo APC Chairman, Adetimehin Under Fire Over Losing Elections In Idanre As State Chairman

News Update

REPLY TO THE WATERY REJOINDER BY THOSE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK GAMES

The media team of Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as Small Alhaji, has reviewed the recent write-ups from uninformed and irrelevant sources—dingbats and uneducated fellows—who have attempted to distract from the core issues at hand.

We expected a direct and substantive response from the office of the APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, but instead, we are met with evasive rejoinders that fail to address the critical questions raised.

Notably, the write-up attributed to Hon. Adefisoye does not even focus on the Chairman but rather highlights his contributions to Adetimehin’s political relevance and the subsequent betrayal he faced.

For clarity, we address the claim regarding Hon. Adefisoye’s change of ward.

As the largest landowner in Ala Ward, with one of the biggest factories in Idanre and his country home situated there, it is only logical for Hon. Adefisoye to transfer his voter’s card to this ward, eliminating the need to travel far to vote in Idanre.

More importantly, in the last gubernatorial election, Hon. Adefisoye not only won his polling unit and ward but also delivered Idanre for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

These facts underscore his commitment and electoral strength, contrary to the misleading narratives peddled by detractors.

We reiterate our call for a direct response from Engr. Ade Adetimehin himself, not from proxies or irrelevant commentators.

To ensure accountability, we pose the following questions regarding his leadership and electoral record in Idanre:

1. 2015 Elections:
As Deputy Chairman and APC leader in Idanre, Adetimehin was tasked with delivering the House of Assembly election but failed, amid allegations of rigging the primaries. In the House of Representatives primaries, he supported Famoritye and was resoundingly defeated.

Meanwhile, Hon. Adefisoye, as Director General, successfully delivered the House of Representatives and Senatorial elections in Idanre.

Why did Adetimehin fail to deliver the House of Assembly election, the only electoral loss in Idanre that year?

2. 2019 Elections:
As APC Chairman, Adetimehin oversaw losses in Idanre for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senatorial elections.

What were the reasons for these repeated failures under his leadership?

3. 2023 Elections:
With Adetimehin as Chairman, Idanre became the only local government in Ondo State where the APC lost both the House of Representatives and Senatorial elections.

Is it being suggested that Hon. Adefisoye, who delivered Idanre for the APC in the gubernatorial election, was responsible for the Senatorial election loss in Idanre?

4. Core Allegation:
Hon. Adefisoye has publicly challenged Engr. Adetimehin to deny the claim that he (Adefisoye) told Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu that he is the strongest political figure in Ondo State.

Can Engr. Adetimehin step forward and categorically address this allegation?

We will not be distracted by watery rejoinders or hide-and-seek tactics from those avoiding accountability.

The people of Idanre and Ondo State deserve clear answers from the APC Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin.

We urge him to come forward and address these questions directly, without further delay or reliance on irrelevant proxies.

Signed,
Media Team of Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye (Small Alhaji)
