President Bola Tinubu has disclosed that former President Muhammadu Buhari will receive a state burial befitting of his contributions to the country.
President Tinubu also summoned an emergency Federal Executive Council session on Tuesday, dedicated to Buhari’s honour.
While commiserating with the widow, family, and the people of Katsina State, President Tinubu further disclosed that, as a mark of honour for the late President, he has directed that all national flags fly at half-staff across the country for seven days.
The disclosures were made in a personally signed statement by Tinubu in which he reacted to the death of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
As previously reported by VAM News, Buhari died in London on Sunday, 13th July, at the age of 82.
President Tinubu, in his reaction, described Buhari as a patriot, soldier, and statesman who served Nigeria with deep commitment during his lifetime.
