Liverpool forward, Diogo Jota, has died in a car accident in Spain.

According to the report, the 28-year-old was travelling in the vehicle with his brother, Andre.

It is reported that the car went off the road on the A-52 in the province of Zamora.

Jota’s tragic passing comes only few days after he got married to his long-term girlfriend, Rute Cardoso, in Porto, on June 28th, 2025.

The forward was part of the Liverpool squad that won the Premier League title in May during Arne Slot’s first season.
