Nigerians’ Reaction as Super Eagles win 2025 Unity Cup

Some Nigerian football fans have expressed their pleasure over the national team’s performance against the Reggae Boys of Jamaica in their 2025 Unity Cup triumph on Saturday.

VAM News reports that the Super Eagles have successfully defended their Unity Cup title after a pulsating 5–4 penalty shootout win over Jamaica.

The thrilling encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford, London, ended 2–2 in regulation time.

Moses Simon gave the West African giants the lead after three minutes, thanks to a superb assist from Cyriel Dessers.

The lead lasted only three minutes before Kaheim Dixon equalised for the Reggae Boys.
The Super Eagles regained the lead through AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze in the 53rd minute.
Jonathan Russell levelled for Jamaica ten minutes later.

The match proceeded straight to penalties after full time.
The Super Eagles converted all five spot kicks, while Jamaica could only score four, as the shoot-out ended 5–4 in favour of Eric Chelle’s side.
