According to him, “Mama was a devoted Christian who served as our choir mistress before transitioning to matron as she grew older. A dedicated women’s leader in the church, she was known for her strong faith and commitment. As a mother, she laid a solid foundation for her children, instilling in them the values of Christianity.

“Her dedication to family and faith was evident in the way her children followed the path she set for them. She was a disciplinarian yet accommodating, making her a role model for women.

“Her life was a testament to good conduct and a source of inspiration for younger women. Even in her marriage, her life was worthy of emulation. She left a lasting legacy that continues to inspire us,” he added.

Also speaking, Professor Oladipupo Salam, praised mama life for accommodating husband family during her time.

Salam, “I lived with Mama Oladunni and her husband, my uncle Ogunjobi, from age 19 until I graduated from the University of Ile-Ife and completed my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year.”

However, the eldest child, Adekoya Ogunjobi, described mama as a tenacious and devoted Christian who remained unwavering in her faith.

Ogunjobi said his mother was fiercely protective and loving towards her children.

She valued her marriage and prioritized her family, often emphasizing the importance of her husband’s role.

He said, “Anyone who threatened or fought her children would face her fight, and she wouldn’t hesitate to express her feelings.

“She was a woman who valued her marriage, often telling her children to bring their kids to her husband’s house if they needed care, underscoring her commitment to her family and husband.”

Dr. Samuel Sanusi praised Mama Ogunjobi for her significant role in raising their children, noting that a parent’s efforts are reflected in their children’s success.

Abayomi Ogunjobi praised her mother with making impact on their lives and being a constant source of support.
