Panic as Local Government Chairman Slumps During Meeting

Panic rippled through the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos State capital, when Mr. Kolade Alabi, the Chairman of Bariga Local Government Area, suddenly slumped mid-speech.

Alabi, the state chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was addressing party stakeholders at their meeting when he abruptly lost consciousness and fell about 12:10 pm.

The alarming incident spurred immediate action, with attendees quickly reviving him before he was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment..

According to eyewitnesses, party members, however, expressed relief at his prompt recovery and wished him a speedy return to good health.

The cause of Alabi’s sudden collapse has not yet been disclosed but the stakeholders’ meeting was momentarily suspended following the incident.
