THE Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, is set to be honored with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Onijegun of Ijegun in Iseyin Oyo State.
The title will be conferred upon him by the revered Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event will take place at the Aseyin’s Palace in Iseyin, commencing promptly at 10:00 AM.
This honor is in recognition of Dr. Omoyele’s outstanding contributions to the development and progress of the community, particularly in his role as the leader of the Osun Amotekun Corps, where he has worked diligently to ensure safety, security, and the overall betterment of the society.
The event promises to be a momentous occasion, with cultural significance and celebration, as Dr. Omoyele is installed as the Onijegun of Ijegun.
The vibrant ceremony will be accompanied by a musical performance by the renowned artist Sefiu Adekunle Alao, popularly known as Omo Oko, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.
