INEC Receives Petition Against Senator Natasha From Kogi Constituents

THE Independent National Electoral Commission has received a recall petition from Kogi Central Constituents against the Senator representing the district at the National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The submission of the petition follows a collation exercise of signatures by her constituents which started a week ago.

The recall process according to the constituents was initiated because they believed She was not representing them properly though this is disputed by some others who have also been vocal in coming out to in a show of support for her.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been at loggerheads with the leadership of the Senate after a re-assignment of seats by the President of the Senate a move She resisted.

She later made allegations of Sexual harassment against the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, that her seat reassigment was due to her resisting sexual advances from him.

She has since been suspended for 6 Months by the Senate after the Ethics and Privileges Committee found her to have infringed on Senate rules.
