Receiving the defectors at the APC secretariat in Benin City, on Wednesday, state chairman of the party, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe described their decision as a strong endorsement of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s leadership.

“The defection of these lawmakers is a clear indication that Governor Okpebholo is delivering on his promises. They recognize that the APC provides a platform for progress and good governance, and we are proud to welcome them,” Tenebe said.

“As a party, we are confident that our new members will play a significant role in the growth and development of Edo State.”

Tenebe also assured the governor and President Bola Tinubu that the APC in Edo State is committed to mobilizing two million voters ahead of the 2027 general elections to secure victory for the party at all levels.

“Edo State will deliver the highest number of votes for the president in 2027,” he declared.
