Green Lunar shines as Nigerian Army commissions accomodation for officers in Ikeja Cantonmen

The Nigerian Army has announced the commissioning of seven (7) freshly renovated CORPORAL below quarters and three (3) units of two-bedroom Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Quarters. 

The commissioning occurred on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Ikeja Cantonment in Lagos State.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. O.O Oluyede, while commissioning the project as part of his ongoing working visit to Lagos State, stated that the project is consistent with his mandate of improving the standard of living and welfare of Nigerian soldiers through the provision of adequate housing, among other things. 

Oluyede, who also asked intending occupiers to use with care and maintain the newly renovated buildings, informed officers that the Nigerian Army is committed to providing better welfare packages and opportunities to raise their standard of living.

The event was well attended by top military officials, including Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nigerian Army’s 81 Division, Major Gen. E. Akerejola – Chief of Logistics Army, Brig. Gen. O.M. Oyekola – Commander 9 Brigade Ikeja among others. 

Green Lunar Nigeria Limited, the company in charge of the renovation project, was represented at the commissioning by her Managing Director Engr. Adewumi Oyekola, CEO, Olaniyi Odina, and other management staff.

Engr. Adewumi Oyekola, praised the Nigerian Army for their faith and confidence in the company.

Adewumi, who called the opportunity to work with the Nigerian Army as golden and unique, expressed satisfaction that his company met deadlines and expectations.

Olaniyi Odina the CEO of the Company, appreciated the late Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen TA Lagbaja for starting this noble innitiative and Lt Gen OO Oluyede for support and timely completion of the project.

The CEO also appreciated the Chief of Logistics Army Major General E. Akerejola for giving all the required support.

Odina said thr Nigerian Army is a very dependable, financially disciplined, and trustworthy client who is more concerned with good and quality jobs than gains.

“It was an honor for us to collaborate with the Nigerian Army. We renovated these structures to the taste and admiration of all, and we’re eager to do more and collaborate with the army in areas other areas such as deployment of our tech products, and helping the Army meet her procurement and logistics needs, Odina explained.

This project is part of the Nigerian Army’s efforts to improve soldiers’ welfare and morale. Similar projects have been commissioned throughout the country.
