Hon. Com. OMOTOYINBO, Oluwaseun Victor has been inaugurated as Member representating Ekiti Central senatorial district at the Nigerian Youth Parliament 6th session.
The 6th session of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, held at Senate Wing (Hallow chamber), National Assembly Abuja.
The inauguration is sequel to his nomination by the Ekiti State Government, His excellency Biodun AbaYomi Oyebanji (Executive Governor, Ekiti state).
While speaking with Journalists, OMOTOYINBO, Oluwaseun Victor appreciated Ekiti state Governor’s efforts on youth development. “His excellency commitment to empowering Ekiti State’s youths is inspiring. From ensuring representation in his cabinet to driving youth-centric initiatives. We’re proud to note Ekiti’s achievements under his leadership.”
“I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Hon. Adedayo Gold (Commissioner for youth development Ekiti State) for his trust and support in ensuring a proper representation in the district,” He said.
The Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP), founded in 2008 under the administration of Umaru Musa Yar’adua GCFR, to oversees the activities of youths in Nigeria. By composition, it is a replica of the Senate of the National Assembly, made up of 109 individuals representing all senatorial districts in Nigeria.
The Nigerian Youth Parliament (NYP) is a legislative and developmental training institution created to strengthen, reinforce, and consolidate efforts to empower young people through meaningful youth representation in driving Nigeria’s developmental agenda.
“For such purposes to be meant, i have been directly and indirectly charged in modeling, facilitating, and purposefully influencing positive reactions that can encourage youth, this is A CALL TO ACTION , that intercepts with vision for the Future of our dear Youth while I have put on plans such as : mentorship, education and job training, opportunities for civic engagement, empowerment and sustainability for the benefit of my constituents, Ekiti youth and Nigeria at large.
“To all youth stakeholders, as a valued member of our community, we urge you to be proactive and supportive in driving positive change. Your energy, creativity, and passion are crucial in shaping a brighter future while encouraging you to Share your ideas and perspective, Participate in initiatives that align with our values, Support your peers and collaborate on our projects, Stay informed and educate others on key issues.
“I believe collaboration could drive a meaningful impact while looking forward to explore partnerships opportunities to achieve a shared goal and values.
The youth of the 5LGAs (Ado Ekiti, Efon, Ekiti West, Ijero Ekiti, and Irepodun/Ifelodun) that constituted Ekiti Central Senatorial District shall be well represented using my voice to change policy and make impact.
Together, we can create a more inclusive, sustainable, and equitable world.
