…Omoyele Urges Officers to be ferment in prayer ensued Good Conduct and Enhanced Performance

THE Osun State Amotekun Corps marked the beginning of the year with a solemn and powerful Inter-faith prayer session, held at the newly inaugurated Amotekun Headquarters opposite Powerline, Osogbo.

The three days prayer event, which commenced on Monday, was attended by religious scholars from various religious faiths who gathered to pray for the leadership and officers of the Corps, and to consecrate the newly established administrative office.

The prayer session saw the active participation of Christian clerics, Islamic leaders, and traditional worshippers, who all joined hands to seek divine blessings for the peace and prosperity of Osun State, as well as for the continued success of the state government under the leadership of Governor Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. The prayers also focused on the welfare and success of the Osun Amotekun Corps leadership and its officers as they continue to serve the people of the state.

The event concluded today with a final round of prayers, led by a blend of religious leaders, symbolizing unity and harmony in diversity. The entire prayer session aimed not only to seek spiritual guidance but also to invoke peace, security, and stability for the state in the year ahead.

Addressing the Corps members after the inter-faith prayer session, Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, commended the officers for their dedication and hard work despite the challenges posed by limited resources. He praised their commitment to maintaining security in the state and assured them of the state government’s unwavering support.

In his speech, Omoyele urged the officers to maintain exemplary conduct in 2025. He emphasized the importance of punctuality, diligence, and transparency in their duties, particularly in reporting any criminal activities within their communities. He reminded them that their actions significantly impact the security landscape of Osun State.

The Corps Commander further reassured the officers that their welfare remained a priority for both the state government, led by Governor Adeleke, and the leadership of the Osun Amotekun Corps. He encouraged the officers to continue working tirelessly to surpass the achievements of 2024, highlighting that the fight against crime in the state is ongoing and requires their utmost commitment.

Looking ahead to 2025, Omoyele announced that the Corps will introduce more training programs and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the officers. He urged them to embrace the new year with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, as they strive to achieve even greater successes in ensuring the safety and well-being of Osun State.

The event, which brought together diverse religious and cultural leaders, was a testament to the unity and collective efforts necessary to foster peace and security in the state. As the Osun Amotekun Corps steps into 2025, it does so with a strengthened commitment to service, progress, and the welfare of its officers and the people of Osun.
