The shocking incident, which unfolded in Jahun Local Government Area, has sparked outrage and speculation over the bride’s alleged motives.
Eyewitnesses hinted that her actions might have been fuelled by a personal grudge, though the exact circumstances remain unclear.
Confirming the grim development, the Jigawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Shi’isu Adam, disclosed that investigations are in full swing to uncover the truth behind the disturbing event.
“We received a report that the bride had tainted the food served at the wedding reception, leaving the groom critically ill,” Adam stated.
