Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has reaffirmed his commitment to support all small and medium Enterprises in the state, and to strengthen the business class for the upliftment of the state economy.
Governor Ademola Adeleke who gave the assurance in Osogbo at the Opening of 2024 SMEDAN/MSME Opportunity Fair in the Southwest, said government and SMEDAN are partners in the growth and development of national economy.
The governor also assured SMEDAN of the partnership readiness of his administration, thereby directed the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry to work on the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding between SMEDAN and the Osun State Government.
The Governor commend the management of SMEDAN for its passionate commitment to developing and strengthening small businesses.
Meanwhile in his welcome address the commissioner for commerce and industry honourable Bunmi Jenyo thanked the governor for always listening to the yearning of the people of the state.
Earlier, the Director General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, Dr. Charles Odii had commended Governor Adeleke for his policies towards enhancing economy of Osun state
Doctor Odil acknowledge the governor Ademola Adeleke efforts for ensuring that the lives of people in the state are more meaningful in reducing poverty amongst his people.
He encouraged the new entrepreneurs and people who want to boost their business
to partner with the Smedan and the state government.
