THE Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) has donated food items to Children’s Home, to mark the beginning of the 2024 Osun Digital Media Week, which commenced today, Wednesday 4th December.
The association visited Abiye Orphanage home located at Osogbo, Osun state and donated cartons of spaghetti, palm oil, noodles, toiletries and other items.
Earlier, a press conference was held at the Association’s office, led by the chairman of the Digital Media Week Committee, Adesoji Omosebi.
While addressing the Journalists, Adesoji appreciated the Royal Father, Association’s Patron and Father of the Day, the Olowu Kuta, HRM Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama for his utmost support and his fatherly role for the Association.
“My homage is incomplete if I do not honour our Mother of the Day, Mrs. Funmi Abokede for her support.
“As you are aware, the topic for this year’s program is, ” THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE 21ST CENTURY,” Adesoji stated.
Also speaking, the Chairman Mukhtar Ajelogbon charged members of the new media to always reflect balance and objectivity in Thier news report.
“I charge all new media to always reflect truthfulness, balance and objectivity in your news report, these are the necessities Nd rudiments of journalism.
“Avoid partialty in your stories, balance your stories from both sides, do not report false news stories”, He said.
The Association hereby invited the general public to the Public Lecture and Award Presentation programme tomorrow, Thursday December 5th, at Ben-Bar Event Hall, beside Regina Suite, Ring Road Osogbo by 11:00AM.
