THE mother of Sylvester Oromoni Jr., the late Dowen College student whose death sparked outrage in 2021, has passed away after battling a prolonged illness.

Oromoni reportedly struggled with declining health since losing her 12-year-old son in a case that gained national attention over allegations of mistreatment at his school.

According to a family source, the emotional toll of her son’s death severely affected her well-being, contributing to her deteriorating health over the past two years.

Despite access to medical care and the unwavering support of family and friends, Oromoni’s condition worsened, and she passed away on November 25, 2024.

Her death has plunged the Oromoni family into deeper mourning, as they grapple with the compounded loss of both a cherished son and a devoted mother.
