The program was launched on Wednesday during the ‘Ipade Imole’ held at Aurora Event Centre Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, where the Governor gave his stewardship report on governance.

According to Governor, “I am also pleased to announce the launch of Imole Youth Corps, providing a transitional job platform for our teaming youth. Details will be communicated by the coordinating team shortly.”

Gov Adeleke urged each Local Government to make available the requested land for the Imole Agropreneur project.

He added that the program will be launched at Imesi Ile next week, while encouraging all Local governments to set up public-private arrangements for the running of the projects in their areas.

Part of his speech reads,”As we enter the second half of our tenure, we assure Osun people of timely completion of all ongoing projects across the State and initiate new ones. We will maintain our focus on both hard and soft infrastructure. I promise our people that we will not abandon any projects either started by us or inherited from the previous administration. By December, our government will unveil new elements of the five-point agenda, emphasizing soft infrastructure.

“On workers’ welfare, I assure you that the approved N75,000 minimum wage is sustainable. I have directed the negotiation team to expedite resolutions on any outstanding matter.

“To every town and community in Osun State, I reiterate our commitment to fairness, equity ands justice. Decisions will always be guided by the principles of inclusivity and collective good of all citizens.

“As we forge ahead, I appeal for your continuous support, prayers and constructive feedbacks. This government is a listening government and your insights remain invaluable in shaping our shared future.

“Thank you for your trust and partnership. Together, we will continue to build a prosperous and thriving Osun State.”

Meanwhile, the Osun State Government approved a new minimum wage of N75,000 for civil servants.

The Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke approved the new wage following recommendations from a committee led by the Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye, and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Comrade Chris Arapasopo.
