A catastrophic fuel tanker explosion occurred on the Kano-Hadejia Expressway in Majiya, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State, resulting in significant loss of life and injury.
VAM News learnt that the incident occurred late Tuesday night, between 11:45 p.m. and 3:15 a.m., causing a massive fire that claimed multiple lives and left at least 300 people critically injured.
The fire’s rapid spread caused extensive damage, overwhelming emergency response teams.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of fatalities, but rescue operations are ongoing and efforts are underway to identify victims and provide medical assistance to those injured.
