Zenith Bank Sends Apology Message To Nigerians Over Service Disruption

Nigeria’s tier one bank, Zenith Bank, has apologised to its customers over service disruption on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

 

The bank disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday notifying customers that the glitch was as a result of its routine information and technology maintenance.

 

Although the commercial bank said the disruption would last between 12:01 am and 02:30 pm on Tuesday, the customers have lamented that the problem had lingered as of the time of filing this report.

 

On Tuesday, October 01, 2024, our Mobile Banking App, USSD Service, Internet Banking and Corporate Internet Banking platforms will be unavailable between the hours of 12:01 am and 02:30 pm WAT.

“We solicit your understanding and offer our assurances that measures are in place to minimize any service interruptions during the exercise, ” the bank stated.

 

A customer on X, Chima Favour Ejim, on Tuesday wrote, “It’s still not working till now.”

 

Another customer, Michael Okpara said the development is frustrating and terrible.

 

This comes as Nigeria marks its 64th Independence Day celebration nationwide.
