How I Shared Testimony In Church – Suspect Who Bought Stolen Jeep For 850k Confesses

An armed robber Suspect, Olajide Oladapo ‘M’, has revealed how he took a stolen vehicle to the church for thanksgiving after confessing that he bought the Ford Jeep with Reg. No. SMK 945 OS Lagos worth N3,000,000 for N850,000 only.

The suspect made this revelation on Wednesday, September 18th during a parade by the Osun State Police Command alongside three other suspects, Taiwo Adekunle ‘M’ ,Adebayo Opeyemi ‘M’, Hassan Ibrahim ‘M’ and Oba Wasiu ‘M’.

During interrogation with the Newsmen, Oladapo said “yes I knew it’s a stolen car and I decided to buy it because it is cheap and I am eager to get a car”

“I took it to church for thanksgiving, the pastor is not aware it was a stolen car, while I took it to church for blessing” the suspect said.

While addressing Journalists, the 2i/c Public Relations Officer of the Osun State Police Command, ASP Giwa-Alade Emmanuel Oluwaseun, said, “On the 14th August, 2024, the Complainant reported at Iwo Division that, on the same date, he visited his parents at Adeeke, Iwo, Osun State and at about 2130hrs, a three man gang of armed robbers broke into his father’s house and robbed them of their belongings comprising three credit cards (Access, FCMB & GTB), cash sum of twenty thousand naira, Nigerian Army ID card and one phone- Redmi 12 pro valued at Three hundred and thirty thousand naira (N330,000).

“The complainant challenged the robbers causing them to abandoned one Black Hero Hunter Motorcycle with Reg. No. Osun WWD 604 QE, one locally made pistol and a magnet.

“Items abandoned were recovered. Immediately the case was taken over by the CP’s monitoring Unit, detectives swung into action.

“The first suspect Taiwo Adekunle ‘m’ was arrested and stated that, he came from Abeokuta Ogun State to meet one Adebayo Opeyemi ‘m’ and one Hassan Ibrahim ‘m’ in Iwo on the instruction of one Akube ‘m’. Taiwo revealed that, his own role in any operation was to deliver any vehicle stolen to any intending buyer.

“Through intelligence gathering, it was revealed that, the suspect had delivered a vehicle to one Oladapo Olajide‘m’ in Akure, Ondo State.

“Based on this information, investigation was extended to Ondo State, where one Oladapo Olajide ‘m’ was arrested and one Ford Jeep with Reg. No. SMK 945 OS Lagos was recovered which was stolen from Ibadan, Oyo State.

“Further investigation also led to the arrest of Opeyemi Adebayo and one Ibrahim Hassan in Iwo, Osun State whose confession led to the arrest of one Wasiu Oba in Ilorin Kwara State.

“They all confessed to the crime and the locally made pistols were recovered with of the suspects called Alfa Bashiru still at large.”

He further explained that the suspects will be charged to court after the completion of investigation.

Voice Air Media gathered that the suspect, was an ex-convict who spent six years in prison after the purchased of a stolen Corolla car for N550,000.
