THE Department of State Services, DSS, released former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore shortly after he was picked up.

The Activist was arrested by operatives of the secret police at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos on Sunday, shortly after his arrival.

On Saturday, the activist had raised an alarm over a plot by security agencies to pick him up and frame him.

Sowore had said, “Yeah! All around in my home town, they’re tryin’ to track me down, yeah! They say they want to bring me in guilty.

“However Babylon must fall! #FearlessInOctober.”

However, constitutional lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, om his social media handle revealed that Sowore had been released with his passport returned.

“Omoyele Sowore released, passport returned to him. Aluta continua,” Adeyanju said.
