Beware Of Impostor Who Is Using My Name, Photos, Phone Number To Defraud People Online – Titi Tomori-Ponnle

Chairperson of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnics, Kabo, Kano State and Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Otunba (Mrs) Titi Tomori-Ponnle has disclaimed the act perpetrated by a fraudster who hacked her WhatsApp account to source for funds on social media.

In a public service announcement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Osogbo, duly signed by Her Excellency, Otunba (Mrs) Titi Tomori-Ponnle, informed the general public to be aware of a scammer using her phone number, name and photographs on Facebook, WhatsApp and any other social media platforms to dupe innocent citizens under the pretence of a fictitious investment programme.

The perpetrator of this evil act is chatting people up on WhatsApp, Messenger and Facebook telling them to invest in a fake forum where people were been defrauded. The perpetrators of this evil act also asking for money through the original WhatsApp phone number of Otunba Titi Tomori-Ponnle from different people.

The announcement, however, called on the public not to respond to any of the messages requesting people to join any platform or request to pay any amount.

DISCLAIME!!! “My attention has been drawn to a fraudster who hacked my cell phone number to impersonate my person and defraud people through WhatsApp, Facebook and Messenger using my picture and name.

“It has been brought to my notice that the same group of scammers have been using the said Facebook account which they created in 2015 and updated in September 2024 to dupe innocent citizens under the pretence of a fictitious investment programme.

“I hereby draw urgent attention of the general public against any information regarding that account. I did not initiate any investment programme or order anyone to do so on my behalf, and I do not have a facebook nor twitter or any platform for people to join.

“Members of the public, particularly my admirers should please take note.”
