Dr. Hon. Adekunle I Omoyele, Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, has attended a 3-day seminar organized by the Nigeria Peace Corps Osun State Command to reorientate Peace Corps officers on their duty posts.
He commended the Corps for safeguarding schools in the state against attacks and urged them to remain hopeful and diligent in their duties, as their rewards are near.
Omoyele reiterated Amotekun’s commitment to collaborating with other security organizations to address the security situation in Osun State.
He praised Governor Senator, Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for his interest in state security and support for the Nigeria Peace Corps Osun Command.
The Corps Commander emphasized the importance of community policing, stating that conventional security agencies cannot combat crime alone and require grassroots security assistance. He advised the Peace Corps not to lose hope, as their work is noticed and valued.
Commandant Peace Corps Osun State Command, Dr. Ayinde Paul Kayode, commended Omoyele for his support and kindness towards the Corps.
He expressed readiness to work with Amotekun in all local governments to curb crimes, particularly in the safe school project initiated by Governor Adeleke.
Kayode appreciated Omoyele’s support for the Corps’ progress and upliftment, praying for his continued success in his new assignment.
