Gunmen gun down students in Nigerian school

No fewer than three students of Faudiya School in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State have been killed by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents.

It was gathered that Faudiya School, which belongs to the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, was attacked by the assailants at about 3 am on Friday.

Sources revealed that the victims were asleep when the gunmen attacked the school premises, took the students outside and shot them dead.

The Yobe State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the development.

According to the PPRO, the criminal elements killed three students and injured one other.

“Yes, the report is confirmed. Three of them (students)were killed while one was injured”, he said.
