Premium Trust Bank Extends Support To Ekiti Government, Moves To Improve Life of People with Disabilities

In a remarkable display of Corporate Social Responsibility, Premium Trust Bank has taken a significant step to support the Community of People with Disabilities in Ekiti State.

The bank’s team, led by Managing Director, Emmanuel Efe Emefienim, CON, embarked on a facility tour to the proposed building for Children Therapy Center and the Government Special School for Persons with Physical and Intellectual Disabilities in Ido-Ekiti, accompanied by the Ekiti State Government Officials, led by the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, Princess Adetoun Agboola and supported by the Special Adviser on Tertiary Education, Prof. Mayowa Akeem Azeez.

This visit was part of the bank’s initiative to support the social inclusion drive of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in Ekiti State.

In his remarks, Emmanuel Emefienim, Managing Director of Premium Trust Bank, expressed his admiration for the state government’s efforts in providing comprehensive care and support for people with disabilities in the state. He affirmed that Ekiti State ranks as the best in terms of commitment to social inclusion initiatives. He commended the state intentional approach in ensuring the integration of individuals with special needs into mainstream society.

Princess Adetoun Agboola, the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, highlighted the state’s commitment to ensuring that every child with a disability has access to education and support services. She emphasized the government’s policy that no child should be left at home during school hours, adding that the establishment of the children’s service centre in Ado-Ekiti is a testament to this initiative.

The visit by Premium Trust Bank’s team, which includes the Manager of Premium Trust Bank’s Ado-Ekiti Branch, Mrs. Bolanle Suyi-Aluko, and Relationship Manager, Mr. Olalekan Ganiyu, underscores the bank’s dedication to making a lasting impact on the lives of marginalized members of the community.

As the bank looks to strengthen its corporate social responsibility efforts, the partnership with the Ekiti State Government promises to bring about transformative change and renewed hope for the PWD community in the state.
