Operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps has apprehended Muritala Ibrahim for alleged defilement.
It was gathered that 35-year-old Ibrahim allegedly defiled a 10-year-old girl, whose name has been withheld, in Agba, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.
Ibrahim was arrested after the girl’s mother lodged a complaint at the Amotekun Boripe Command.
The Corps Commander, Osun Amotekun, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday. He revealed that Ibrahim allegedly lured the girl into his residence, where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
Omoyele added that Ibrahim also shaved part of the girl’s hair and gave her another dress to wear.
“Upon preliminary investigation, the suspect confessed to perpetrating the act by defiling the young girl.
“He has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution,” Omoyele stated.
