Court Stops VeryDarkBlackMan’s Alleged Defamatory Posts Against Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin

THE FCT High Court in Abuja today, restrained Mr. Martins Vincent Otse also known as VeryDarkBlackMan from further defamation, slanderous and libelous video content on social media platform as Facebook, YouTube Instagram etc. against Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufenyi.

The court granted an injunctive order restraining Mr. Martins Vincent Otse known as VeryDarkBlackMan to maintain status quo on the said matter against prophet Jeremiah Omoto Funfenyi . According to the statement of claim filed by prophet Jeremiah lead Counsel, Joel karatu Esq. in July 2024, the claimant chronicled the various alleged libelous content on social media made against him by VeryDarkBlackMan, Mr. Martins Vincent Otse.

The plaintiff lamented that the defamatory contents caused him incalculable damage and brought him to public ridicule among members of his Church and business partners who are spread across the globe “The defendant has posted several libelous videos in which a significant number of it is defamatory and cyberbullying to the personality of the plaintiff.”

To underscore the amount of pain the alleged libelous posts had caused him, the plaintiff lawyer said his client has “family members, Church members, friends, and business associates who are active on social media, who brought to his attention the several defamatory posts against him by the defendant Mr. Martins Vincent Otse known as VeryDarkBlackMan through social media platform.” He noted that although some of the alleged posts are on VDM’s social media handles, there exist others which he intends to tender before the court at trial.

The FCT High Court heard the matter Friday August 2, 2024, even after Ademola Oyedoku Esq. who appeared as legal counsel for VeryDarkBlackMan undertakes and made a solemn promise to the FCT High Court, that VeryDarkBlackMan also known as Mr. Martins Vincent Otse will cease from any further defaming the plaintiff or undermining the suit and proceedings before Court. The court after hearing all parties, granted an injunctive status quo order and then adjourned to 12th August 2024 for definite hearing of all applications.
