THE protest against economic hardship, hunger and bad governance has begun in Abuja.
Nigerians are facing one of the worst inflation and economic crises due to the government’s removal of petrol subsidies and the unification of foreign exchange rates.
As a result of this, Nigerians and other civil society groups have decided to hit the streets to air their grievances and make their voices heard.
Photos on social media showed hundreds of young people singing and calling for change.
The demonstrators carried placards with various messages.
