His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, has arrived in the United States to meet and dialogue with Ogbomoso sons and daughters residing in North America. This visit is part of a broader tour aimed at advocating for the development of Ogbomosoland.
Renowned for their extensive travels, the people of Ogbomoso are among the most widely dispersed clans within the Yoruba race. In the span of just 10 days, the Soun has visited four European countries, engaging with the Ogbomoso diaspora to promote the growth and advancement of their homeland.
Upon his arrival at the airport, His Majesty was greeted with joyous celebrations and traditional drumming.
At the annual Ogbomoso convention in America, scheduled for July 27, Kabiyesi will present his ambitious 25-year development plan to the community.
The festivities commenced with a grand welcome on July 26 at the Hilton Garden Inn, followed by the main event on July 27 at the Atlanta Banquet Hall. This convention marks a significant opportunity for the Ogbomoso community in North America to unite and support the vision for their homeland’s future.
“Ogbomoso must be great!” declared His Majesty, reinforcing his commitment to the progress and prosperity of Ogbomosoland.
