Voice Air Media Publisher, Bright Olorungbotemi Distributes Educational Materials, Gives Scholarships to Indigent Pupils In Idanre LG

To cushion the effect of the high cost of academic materials and the increase in the cost of education, the Publisher of Voice Air Media Online News, Director of VAM, and Founder of DOWOB (Dive Out With Olorungbotemi Bright), a media platform and non-governmental forum dedicated to impacting lives and giving back to society, recently distributed free educational materials to indigent pupils in Lagos.

The distribution, which benefitted all the pupils present, took place on Friday, July 18th, 2024, at St. Stephen’s A/C School Oke-Jebu, in Idanre LG area of Ondo State. Additionally, the school fees of two less privileged pupils from the school were paid, and some students and pupils in Akure, the state capital, also benefited from this humanitarian service.

During the presentation, the Convener, Bright Olorungbotemi, said the exercise was aimed at making learning easier for the pupils and encouraging children to keep learning and stay in school. He added that a pupil from KG, Abel Prayer, and Aina Akingba from Pry 4 were the ones granted scholarships for the term. He announced that the phase of the distribution exercise of books, biros, and pencils covered over 115 pupils.

Speaking at the event, the Headmistress, Mrs. Aboyewa D.S., appreciated the donor for the kind gesture. Mrs. Aboyewa said, “The birthday celebrant is not from the school, but he came to support and give to the pupils because he is from Idanre LG and his biological mother was a product of the school. What the celebrant is doing today is to complement our effort in the school in providing quantitative education for the pupils.”

She encouraged alumni of the school to emulate Bright Olorungbotemi’s stride in complementing the efforts of the management and teachers in providing good education to the pupils.

Appreciating the donor, the parents of the pupils, including Mrs. Akingba, expressed their gratitude for the support for their children and prayed for God to continue to bless him.

Additionally, a seminar on ‘Financial Management and Healthy Home Amidst Fuel Subsidy’ was part of this 2024 Dive Out With Olorungbotemi Bright annual inclusivity project.

Bright Olorungbotemi called on the alumni of the school to show their support for the school and give back to complement the efforts of the headmistress and the teachers to ensure that children keep enrolling for a better future.
