A bus conveying students has tumbled in the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), leaving casualties.

 

A student who spoke with the Newsmen over the phone said that the crash happened close to the school gate on Thursday.

 

“It happened very close to the school gate,” she said. “About 11 people were on the bus, but I cannot say exactly the number of people involved in the crash.”

 

A video of the crash obtained showed the vehicle in an upside-down position by the roadside beside the school’s zoo. A passenger lay almost lifeless, and two other passengers, looking injured, struggled to regain balance. Some students have speculated that the unconscious person has died.

In a now-deleted post on X, the Campus Union of Journalists (UCJ), said nobody had been confirmed dead yet, imploring the public to avoid a hasty conclusion.
