THE Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, says his administration is reviewing the template for the payment of gratuities to retirees, towards speedy payment of the backlog owed by the government.
The Governor said this during the flag-off ceremony of the second batch of bulk payments of outstanding gratuities of one billion Naira to local government retirees in the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said, it is in continuation of efforts by his administration, towards promoting the welfare of retirees in the state.
The governor noted that the current batch focuses predominantly on local government retirees from 2012, and aims to settle remaining arrears from previous years, reiterating his administration’s dedication, to the consistent, and fair payment of pensions and gratuities.
Governor Aiyedatiwa urged those who were not included in this batch to remain hopeful, as the administration continues its efforts to maximise the welfare of the people of the state.
