Anniversary: Prof Ifemidayo Akinmoladun Congratulates President Tinubu, Commends Minister Oyetola’s Giant Strides In Marine And Blue Economy

The Ijesha North Federal constituency leader, Prof Ifemidayo Akinmoladun has commended President of Nigeria, his Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola And other Ministers over their numerous developmental strides in the areas of development and infrastructure across the nation, stressing that the president and ministers’ efforts at transforming the country has helped in up-scaling its productivity.

The commendation was made on Wednesday, May 29 by the former Aspirant of the House of Representatives for the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the 2023 election.

In his address, Prof Ifemidayo Akinmoladun explained that the administration of president Bola Tinubu’ one year in office has set a giant strides for improved productivity and boosting revenue generation and transforming the nation.

While lauding the Minister, Adegboyega Oyetola for showing significant commitment and innovative policies, Prof Akinmoladun maintained that the Minister administration’s giant strides in blue and Marine economy have yielded outstanding results.

“Your administration’s giant strides in the ministry cannot go unnoticed within the system in Nigeria and beyond.

“I am fully aware of your strides in the completion of projects too, congratulations and more strength hon. Minister” Prof Akinmoladun added

“Your laudable achievements explained your personality and leadership acumen, under your watch as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy records 92 percent revenue Increment in First Quarter of this year (2024)

“Your Ministry has been contributing tremendously to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

“Your ministry generated 242.8billion within the First Quarter of this year.

“Your ministry completed some of the projects inherited, including the Funtua Dry Port, Port Access Roads in Onne and the rehabilitation of some access roads in Tin Can and Apapa ports.

“Your ministry commissioned a 4.8km road and Mooring Boats. Mooring Boats are used to safety berth vessels calling at various pilotage districts. The mooring boats are our way of further enhancing the security and safety of our maritime space.

“Your ministry had contributed tremendously in the promotion of inland dry ports to continuously decongesting the seaports, deliver a net decrease in transportation costs and environmental challenges, and promote overall improvement in public safety through reduced road accidents.

“Your ministry have finalised the Funtua Inland Dry Port which was commissioned on 9th May 2024.

“Your ministry commissioned two units of Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) 8213 model 80 Ton Bollard Pull Tugboats to enable the berthing of very large vessels of 300 metres LOA (length overall) and above, and many others.
