Ondo Guber: Former Dep Governor, Agboola Speaks On Clinching PDP Ticket

A former Deputy Governor and leading governorship aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi says he is experienced enough to clinch the ticket of the party in the primary election slated for this week Thursday.

The former deputy governor who spoke with newsmen in Akure, said out of all the aspirants, he remains the most qualified and experienced in terms of governance both at the local level, state level and the federal level.

While noting that he was the youngest ward Chairman in Nigeria during the Social Democratic Party Convention to elect Presidential candidate in Jos, Plateau State about 30 years ago, the former Chairman house of representatives committee on Niger Delta Development Commission emphasized that anyone intending to govern Ondo State must have the knowledge of the people and the land.

“I have a clear vision on how to govern our state, having served at various levels of governance from ward Chairman to Chairman of local government to member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency and deputy governor.”

“It’s of importance for the major stakeholders in the political circle of our state to realise that we need someone who has vision and familiar with the state with passion to develop the people and the land.”

“We must get it right this time around and we must change the narratives as I am prepared to impart positively on the lives of the people as I have always done anywhere I had been given the opportunity”, Ajayi stated.
