Bandit kingpin killed as rival groups battle in Zamfara— Report

A notorious bandit leader in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State popularly called Sani Dangote has been killed following a clash between two rival bandit groups.

 

Voice Air Media learnt that Sani Dangote was killed alongside his two brothers and some of his gang members by another bandit leader called Dankarami in Dumburum forest.

 

A reliable security source in the area said on Monday that the battle for supremacy started when Dankarami rustled cattle belonging to Sani Dangote’s camp.

 

According to the source, the gun battle started around 3:14 pm on Sunday which led to the death of many bandits.

“The battle between the two bandit kingpins started when Dankarami rustled the cattle belonging to Sani Dangote. That was how the fight began”, he added.

 

The State police command is yet to make an official statement regarding the incident.
