Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has gushed over professional footballers.

 

Taking to his X account, Davido admitted that footballers are really enjoying in what seems to be an allusion to their wealth.

 

He also added that it appears he has chosen the wrong profession having seen how enjoyable the life of a footballer is.

 

This is coming days after the singer hanged out with some top professional footballers.

 

Davido was spotted with with football stars including Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, Neymar and others at the 30th birthday party of Atletico Madrid star Memphis Depay.

 

Tweeting on Thursday, Davido wrote, “Footballers Dey enjoy ooooo … be like I chose wrong profession 😂😂😂😂 bruhhhhhhh”.

‘I never received gifts,’ Davido appreciates Memphis Depay for gifting him wristwatch

On Wednesday, Davido appreciated receiving a gift of a Rolex wristwatch from Atletico Madrid striker Memphis Depay.

 

The striker reportedly gave Davido a multi-million naira Rolex timepiece when he performed at his 30th birthday celebration recently.

 

The singer confirmed the gift on his Instagram story, claiming it was the first time he had ever gotten a present.

 

The artiste also claimed that he has always been the one who gives to others.

 

He wrote, “N*gga bought me a rolex on his own birthday! I never receive gifts, I’ve always been the one to gift people.

 

“I love and appreciate you @memphisdepay.”
