Vehicles, Others Recovered As Osun Police Parade 19 Suspects For Robbery, Others

OSUN Police Command, has paraded Nineteen (19) suspects over alleged armed robbery, conspiracy, theft, and members of Eiye confraternity in the state.

It was revealed in a press briefing on Monday morning, by Hope Okafor, the Deputy Commissioner of Police.

According to DCP Okafor, the briefing was organised to showcase the successes recorded by the Command in recent times.

Below are the following brief of the recent successes recorded in the Command:

1. OFFENCE: CONSPIRACY AND ARMED ROBBERY

SUSPECTS:
(1) SEYI OJO ‘M’ AGE 33YRS
(2) KAMORUDEEN QUADRI ‘M’ AGE 32YRS
(3) OGBEMODIA SUNDAY ‘M’ AGE 48YRS
(4) FATAI TOHEEB ‘M’ AGE 22YRS
(5) DAVID ADEBAYO ‘M’ AGE 43YRS
(6) DAVID ADEREMI ‘M’ AGE 30YRS
(7) OLALEKAN MUSILIU ‘M’ AGE 35YRS
(8) AYODELE KEHINDE ‘M’ AGE 39YRS

4. ARREST OF SUSPECTED CAR THEFT SYNDICATE

SUSPECTS:
1. TEMITOPE OKE ‘M’ 33 YEARS
2. WASIU HAMMED ‘M’ 19 YEARS
3. OLAMILEKAN YUSUF ‘M’ 21 YEARS
4. JULIUS WURAOLA ‘F’ 28 YEARS

EXHIBITS:

5. CONSPIRACY AND ARMED ROBBERY

SUSPECTS:
(1) DADA TAIWO ‘M’ AGED 26 YEARS (Hospitalized)
(2) OLALEKAN KAZEEM ‘M’ 21 YEARS.

She revealed that the suspects were arrested in different sting operations.

The Command also made known that a suspect, Dada Taiwo, was hospitalised after he sustained a gunshot wounds during a faceoff with the police.

Okafor also revealed that the suspects have all confessed to the crimes and will be charged to court after the completion of investigations.

The Osun police spokesperson urged members of the public who lost valuables to criminals to come to the headquarters to check if their properties were among those recovered from the suspects.

“The Police Command is using this medium to inform the general public that those whose properties are among the recovered exhibits should come with necessary documents to prove ownership at Police Headquarters, Ring-Road, Osogbo, Osun State,” she stated.
