Claims that the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, left a will have been refuted by the artist’s management.
Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, stated in a recent interview that his son had written a will before to his passing.
However, the late singer’s management responded, calling the assertion “false and misleading,” in a statement posted on Monday via the singer’s Instagram page.
The statement partly read: “No members of Mohbad’s management or his Lawyer have communicated the existence of a will or any such thumb-printed document (as has recently been FALSELY reported) to any member of the family or the public.
We want to make clear that, in the event that such a document existed, it would have been properly filed with the Probate Registry. Therefore, we humbly ask that people not spread such inaccurate and deceptive remarks.
“All accounts owned and controlled by Imole during his lifetime were immediately put on a Post No Debit order on September 12, 2023,” the management stated. This order is still in effect today.
“After the internal dispute is resolved, the accounts will be properly handed over to the family,” it stated.
