Nigerian Police Warns Against ‘No Gree for Anybody’ Slogan, Citing Potential for National Crisis

The authorities of the Nigerian Police Force have pleaded with young Nigerians to desist from the continuous use of the catchphrase, ‘no gree for anybody’.

 

“No gree for anybody” is a popular slang being used on social media with several memes created around it. Although, it is used to pass a message of insistence on one’s right and belief, and not giving in to intimidation, the police spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a press briefing on Wednesday, said intelligence had been received that the slogan had the potential to incite a revolution within the country.

 

He said, “Let me say that the new slogan for 2023, 2024 for our young ones is ‘no go gree for anybody.’

“We have been informed from our intelligence that this slogan is coming from a revolutionary sector that may likely cause problem across the country.
