Rivers Approve N100k Christmas Bonus for State’s Workers

Jubilation as Fubara Approves N100k Christmas Bonus for Rivers Workers

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

Amid the easing of the political storm in the oil-rich Rivers State, Governor Simi Fubara has approved the disbursement of an N100,000 Christmas bonus to civil servants under the government’s payroll.

Warisenibo Johnson, Commissioner of Information and Communications, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

According to him, the governor penned his approval for the bonus payment on Tuesday to let workers have a blissful Yuletide celebration this year.

The development comes hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu brokered eight-point resolutions to end the impasse between Gov Fubara and the current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Reacting after the crisis resolution deal, Fubara said there is no price too big to pay for peace to prevail.

“There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure peace prevails”, he stated.
