Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi Bags “Who Is Who In Africa” Award

THE Western Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun, the Osun Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinnbi (rtd) has bagged a lifetime achievement award, on Friday.

This award, according to VOICE AIR MEDIA correspondent, was given by Time Africa Magazine in Osogbo, Osun state capital.

While speaking with correspondent, General Adewinmbi maintained that he had nothing to qualify him for the award stated that his wish is for the Africa to take its place of pride since they were lots of opportunities which abound in the continent.

Adewinmbi was given the 2023 Who Is Who In Africa Lifetime Achievement.

Similarly, Tosin Odeyemi, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Chairman in Osun State has called on President Bola Tinubu to allow for peace to prevail in Kano State.

Odeyemi, who is the Chairman of NNPP State Chairmen made this call on Friday during the award presentation of the Osun Amotekun Corps Commander.

“We want Justice in Kano State. We don’t want any interference. We can all see the mess.

“Judiciary is the last hope of the common man and we want to believe the president should allow leave to reign because of anything happens otherwise we cannot preempt what will happen.

Also, Odeyemi who doubles as the Secretary of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State called on the state governor, Ademola Adeleke to reverse the appointment of Hashim Abioye as Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC).

“To the Osun State Governor, on behalf of the populace about the OSIEC chairman, Hashim Abioye so appointed.

“I want to believe that something will still be done.”We are not in agreement except if PDP and one other would go to the field, contest and win for themselves an election but if they want us to go to court and use it as a tactic to have their man in the helm of affairs we will not do that.

“We are going to work with our people, our party members and the Osun people to agree with us that truly you cannot bring a card carrying member of your party to come and conduct an election that will not be biased.

“Hashim Abioye is not the best to conduct such an election.”
