Marine & Blue Economy: Nigeria, US move to agree on specific areas of collaboration, partnership, cooperation

After declaring open the 43rd Annual Conference and 18th Managing Director’s Roundtable of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos, today, the minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola CON, met with the US delegation as a follow up to the two earlier meetings held by the two parties.

On the US side are the U.S. Consul General, Will Stevens, US Assistant Secretary of State for Business and Economic Affairs, Ramin Toloui, and Michael Ervin.

The parties reviewed all previous meetings and agreed to meet at a later date where specific areas of collaboration, partnerships, and corporations would be worked out and agreed upon.

The minister thanked the US government for its interest in ensuring the growth and development of Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy for the good of Nigerians and the collective good of the two countries.
