_urges govt to give more recognition to royal fathers in governance

MEMBERS of the Brave Women Association Worldwide has paid homage to the Osun State Council of Obas at their meeting in Abeere, Osogbo, capital of Osun state.

During the visit, the president of the association, Evangelist Matilda Farinde, on Thursday, urged the government at all levels to give more recognition to the Royal fathers in governance to enable the dividends of democracy to get to the nooks and crannies of different communities.

Farinde applauds the Royal Fathers for being good fathers to all and for being a peace builders in their different communities in the State, She further appreciated them for hosting the association in their meeting, and she reiterated the commitment of the association to partner with the Royal Fathers in tackling abuse of women in society and empowering downtrodden women in different communities in the state.

“My message to the government at all levels, is to give more recognition to the Royal fathers in governance to make the dividends of democracy get to the nook and cranny of the communities and for the government in power to have a safe landing in their administration, She said.

Addressing the gathering, on behalf of the Osun Council of Obas, Olokuku of Okuku, commended the Brave women association worldwide for deeming it fit to visit the Royal fathers in their meeting, the monarch applauded them for contributing their quota to the society by protecting women from abuse and empowering women in society, he urged the President of the Association and the members not to relent in contributing to the development of the state and the country at large.

He reiterated the dedication and commitment of the Royal fathers in the state to promoting peaceful coexistence in their various domains.

He promised that Royal Fathers would look at the association’s demands in due course.

Salu Edunabon commended the brave women for being good women in society and for promoting good womanhood, he also lauded the governor of the state, Sen. Ademola Adeleke for recognizing the royal father in the state and for always carrying them along in governance.

The Royal Fathers in attendance include; Ila-Orangun, Ataoja of Osogbo, Ogiyan of Ejigbo, and many other prominent royal fathers across the state.
