Cristiano Ronaldo Sentenced To 99 Lashes For Going Against Iran Law

Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has been sentenced to 99 lashes for hugging an unmarried woman while taking a photo with her in Iran.

 

According to report, in that country a man is not allowed to touch a woman and will receive that punishment if he travels to Iran again.

 

 

Cristiano Ronaldo will be in trouble if he sets foot on Iranian soil again. The Portuguese striker has been sentenced to 99 lashes for adultery.

 

Al-Nassr faced Persepolis in the Asian Champions League and Luis Castro’s squad travelled to Iran for the match. Ronaldo met an Iranian painter who is a big fan of the Portuguese footballer.

 

Fatima Hamami gave him several portraits she had made of him and he took a photo with her and gave her a hug to thank her. The painter uses a wheelchair, so he bent down, put his right hand on her arm and smiled for the photo.

 

 

According to Iranian outlet ‘Shark Emroz’, several Iranian lawyers sued Ronaldo for adultery when the video went viral on social media. A man is not allowed to touch an unmarried woman in Iran.

 

 

The same media outlet reports that a court sentenced him to 99 lashes the next time he sets foot on Iranian soil.
