Four arrested for Stealing, Burgling, Vandalizing in Osun

THE operatives of Osun state Amotekun Corps in Iwo Area Command on Wednesday apprehended four men, Isaac Oluwafemi, 23 years old, Adeolu Ayuba, 19 years old, Afeez Ismail, 23 years old, and Sola Azeez, 19 years old, an Indigenes of Iwo Local Government for stealing, burgling and vandalization of government properties in the former Ola-Oluwa local government secretariat situated in Telemu, Osun State.

The suspects were arrested by the operatives of Amotekun on Wednesday morning after vandalizing and burgling the government properties situated at Telemu and stealing Aluminium sheets, Iron tables, and wheelchairs at the scene, luck ran against them after the operatives of Amotekun received distress calls from the residents of the area and the operatives swung into action immediately and arrested the culprits while escaping the scene with the stolen items.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen in Osogbo, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspects were arrested at Telemu after Vandalizing government properties In the former Ola-oluwa local government secretariat situated in Telemu, burgling and stealing iron tables aluminum sheets, and wheelchairs, and distressed calls were received by the operatives of Amotekun Iwo Area Command on the action of the suspects and the operatives quickly mobilized to the scene and apprehended the felons on the spot.

Upon the investigation, “the suspects confessed to perpetrating the act” Adewinmbi said.

 

The suspects have been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
